Annotation

The article studies the ethno-cultural factor in the development of the school and pedagogy of Belorussian provinces and the whole Russian Empire in the second half of the XIXth and beginning of the XXth century. The author considers the retrospective development of relations between the Russian and Belorussian people during the period of their co-existence in the multinational Russian Empire. The analysis of the unfamiliar sources revealed by the author allows specifying and enriching modern historical and pedagogical researches.
