Annotation

The article describes pedagogical innovations and innovative tendencies in educational practices. The author reveals the meaning and classifies pedagogical innovations. The article also stresses that the “quality of life” and the “quality of education” are interconnected, where innovative teaching is a factor promoting successful solution of didactic tasks in the situation of continuous education. The author determines risks existing in innovative pedagogical science, shows interconnection of creativity in science and innovation and the role of pedagogical competitions in innovative processes taking place in educational practices. The article also reveals basic components of innovative activities in education.
