Annotation

The article deals with the basic requirements to the organization of students’ independent work and controllable independent work. The author provides results of putting into practice a special manual developed by the author and called «Organization of independent students’ work» in higher school educational establishments. The manual reveals process of students’ independent work organization in higher school according to competence-based paradigm and personality focused approach.
