Annotation

The article is devoted to the choice and implementation of diagnostics methods evaluating cognitive independence of students of initial vocational training. The described research had three stages: first, guidelines were stated, general strategy for diagnostics technique evaluating cognitive independence of students was defined and, finally, parameters of cognitive independence diagnostics of students were stated. The author describes a compact variant of diagnostics technique for evaluating levels of cognitive independence of students – «express poll». The analysis of express poll results allowed to draw conclusions and to define the further direction of work.
