DEVELOPING SOCIO-CULTURAL COMPETENCES OF STUDENTS OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATION SYSTEM

Annotation

The article presents the author’s understanding of the concept «socio-cultural competences of students of secondary vocational education system». The given competences include the following components: socio-cultural knowledge of the country of the studied language, cultural traditions of people, features of national outlook, ability to overcome and resolve socio-cultural conflicts during communication process, experience of the dialogue which includes ability to express an idea by means of the foreign language taking into account special features of the other language culture, correct use of culturally marked language units in speech in various situations of intercultural dialogue.
