COMPETENCE BASED APPROACH TO PREPARATION OF ENGINEERS-OILMEN: TECHNICAL THINKING DEVELOPMENT AS PART OF TEACHING HIGHER MATHEMATICS

Annotation

The article considers competence-based approach to training engineers-oilmen through their technical thinking development as part of teaching higher mathematics. In terms of vocational training modernization, technical thinking is a basis of some professional competences. The article provides the results received during pedagogical research. In particular, the author describes pedagogical conditions, levels, criteria and parameters of development and the program aimed at developing technical thinking of students - future engineers of oil-and-gas industries during their study of higher mathematics. The article also dwells on the results of studying readiness of teachers to developing technical thinking of students. The author also enumerates the factors blocking introduction of technical thinking developing technologies into educational process in higher educational establishments.
