DEVELOPING FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMPETENCES OF MASTERS’ DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS BY MEANS OF INFORMATION-COMMUNICATION PODCAST RESOURCES

Annotation

The author of the article pays special attention to the primary goals of higher educational institutions in the modern world educational space; specifies the contradictions complicating achievement of the necessary degree of foreign language skills and ways to avoid them; describes the experience of dividing students into foreign language groups on competence grounds. The article considers some lingual and didactic features of foreign podcasts, the algorithm of their use at a foreign language lesson, proves their efficiency for developing foreign language listening competence of master’s degree seeking students. The article also describes foreign language competence based model of the subjects of language teaching pedagogical activity in the innovative higher educational establishments.
