USING PODCASTS TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN HIGHER SCHOOL

Annotation

The given paper deals with various opportunities of using podcasts while teaching foreign languages for improving listening skills and increasing efficiency. The use of podcasts as a listening exercise becomes especially interesting as it gives an opportunity to combine such additional contextual information, as texts, images or video. The author offers possible ways to use podcasts in part-time education, teaching by correspondence and blended learning. The author offers the technique of creating pedagogically valuable podcasts; advantages and disadvantages of using podcasts in teaching foreign languages are analyzed in the paper.
