DEVELOPING VALUE ATTITUDE TO PARENTHOOD IN HIGHER SCHOOL STUDENTS: MODERN PRACTICES

Annotation

The article deals with various components of parenthood, including parental dispositions, positions, behavior, expectations, motives, roles, strategies, responsibility, etc. The author gives the outline of parental attitude as the key component of the phenomenon of parenthood. The author characterizes the attitude to parenthood and treats it as value-notional appeal to the parenthood subjects and its various displays. Emotional, behavioral, cognitive and motivational components of parenthood are characterized in the article. It is shown that parental attitudes are influenced by age, sex and family experience of family interaction subjects. The author states value-conscious attitude to parenthood to be the major personality structure that testifies about well-developed ideas concerning parenthood sphere and aim at its realization, condition of emotional readiness for parental functions as well as skills and abilities necessary for it.
