Annotation

The article deals with social, psychological and pedagogical determinants of system approach to identification and development of gifted and talented children. It is shown that giftedness, being mental formation, represents the complex, integrated feature that includes cognitive, non-cognitive and social factors. That testifies to the need of using integrated approach to teaching exceptional children for successful development of their endowments. The main social problem of identification, development and support of gifted and talented children lies in the existing contradiction between the need to develop and teach gifted and talented children, on the one hand, and insufficient theoretical and practical preparation of pedagogical staff for work with children like that, on the other hand. The author come to the conclusion that system approach to search and development of gifted and talented children and youth allows to single out and carefully study each element of the system separatel
