PRACTICAL ORIENTATION OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN HIGHER SCHOOL: CONTRADICTIONS AND CHALLENGES

Annotation

The article is devoted to the value and place of professional training in development of the postindustrial society. The author dwells on the level and degree of following the principle of practical focus in training, education and development, which determines professional preparation of experts. Results of the analysis of Russian and foreign researches on the given topic are presented in the article. The author raises general questions of organizing practically focused vocational training. The main conclusion given in the article is the key role that belongs to socio-cultural practice in transformation of professional education into practically focused, complete, open, inherent (coordinated with the setting), developing system. The author reveals contradictions and challenges that have become significant components of the system of professional training in higher school.
