REFERENCE AS PHENOMENON OF INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Annotation

The article raises the problem of reference and interpersonal relations in the group. Approaches of national and foreign authors to the given problem are analyzed. The author defines the key concepts, such as: reference, referential object, referent groups, attitude of reference. The issue of defining “reference” as the form of special interpersonal relations is revealed. According to the author, in their behavior people are guided by the norms of the group they belong to and the one to which they relate themselves to. The question of the influence of the group on self-esteem of a person, one’s implications, norms and values is covered. The author states the reasons of reference attitudes, interrelation between self-attitude of the person and referent attitudes. The points of view of various authors about groups of interaction are considered. Features of referential attitudes at young age are described.
