PEDAGOGICAL MODEL OF DEVELOPING ETHNIC IDENTITY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS BY MEANS OF EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Annotation

According to the article, ethnic identity, being a structural component of civil identity, possesses the following features. Firstly, it is connected with experience of primary school pupils concerning personal identification with the ethnic group. Secondly, it has both motivating and destroying function and is of mythological type. Finally, it is realized by means of specific didactic methods. The author of the article describes theoretical models of ethnic identity development. Development of the models aimed at development of ethnic identity of primary school pupils is determined by the following structure of any identity: cognitive, estimating, axiologi-cal and activity-related components. However, according to the author, models like this don’t cover specific aspects of ethnic identity.
