PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF EXPERIENCING AN EXTREME SITUATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SOCIAL ACTIVITY

Annotation

The article presents findings of a case study of some features of experiencing an extreme situation by people from the local military conflict zones (Southeast of Ukraine). Initially the author makes a hypothesis that specific aspects of this experience are influenced by such personal feature, as social activity. In modern psychology social activity is treated as a complex integrated personal construct, which includes civil responsibility, political awareness and desire to influence the surrounding reality. These concepts are formed both as at the level of the government as the ideal to which all citizens of the country should aspire, and at the level of values and conceptual implications of the citizen, his/her psychological level of readiness for realization of socially significant ideas and priorities.
