PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF STUDENTS-FRESHMEN AS PART OF THEIR ADAPTATION TO CONDITIONS OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Annotation

The article describes the process of psychological support for students-freshmen as part of their adaptation to conditions of educational space in vocational school. The authors outline basic directions (psychodiagnostics, psychological consultation and psychoprophylaxis for crisis behavior) and structure of psychological support for students’ personalities. The authors describe some kinds of crises (age, crisis of a new social role, didactic crisis) with which students have to face during their adaptation to higher school conditions; the concept “students of risk group” is defined.
